South Australia is renowned for its wines and many churches, but a long history is reflected in all the hauntings that are reported around the capital, Adelaide, alone.

Founded in 1836, Adelaide has the oldest record of an official city council in Australia (1840). It was originally planned to be the first settlement in the entire country that was not convict-based, full of free people who chose to immigrate to Australia, promising civil liberties and freedom from religious persecution.

Adelaide, a city known for its peaceful reputation, may have its own share of dark and mysterious stories lurking beneath the surface. It all comes down to how much you're willing to believe in the myths, legends and paranormal activity that may be woven into the fabric of this seemingly serene place.
